Comfort
The 696 ergonomics have been improved with subtle but effective changes to the riding position.
A shorter reach to the bars and a slightly lower, more forward footpeg position, together with the lowest seat height of any Ducati and an 11lbs (5kg) reduction in weight (355lbs - 161kg), empowers any rider to become the master of this Monster.
Customise It
With a fuel tank form created with ingenious removable outer skins that enable quick and easy colour swaps, changing the personality of your Monster has never been easier.
The quickly removable rear seat cover makes it even easier to completely colour coordinate and, when removed, reveals a place for your favourite passenger.
Skeleton
Best-of-category braking is ensured with two 320mm Brembo discs with four-piston radial calipers at the front and a single 245mm disc with two-piston caliper at the rear.
Combined with the 43mm Showa front forks, capable rear Sachs suspension and the strong new generation Hybrid Trellis frame, the set-up boasts a safe and sturdy chassis with world-famous Ducati handling.
Power Plant
The 696cc air-cooled Ducati Desmo engine has been further perfected with an 11% increase of torque (50.6 lb-ft) delivering practical, everyday 'ridability' and a 9% increase in power (80hp) that ensures thrilling Ducati Performance.
New cylinder heads with larger values combined with extra emission sensors for finer electronic engine management have increased the power and smoothness of the Monster while an APTC clutch keeps the clutch lever action light and down-shifting safe.
